The deal with Loreto-based family entertainment company Rainbow will see the show’s fifth and sixth seasons on Brazilian free-TV.
Rainbow’s head of sales and coproductions Andrea Graciotti told TBI the deal was significant as it came with the caveat that the show was guaranteed to run in the same slot on the same day from this month to the end of 2016.
The animated comedy about a group of fashionista fairies current airs on 115 broadcast channels worldwide, and Netflix is working up a new original based on the property.
