Disney/ABC Television Group digital boss Albert Cheng will leave the company in May.
His departure follows Ben Sherwood succeeding Anne Sweeney, who he had worked closely with the Mouse House-owned TV group, as Disney/ABC president.
According to Re/code, he told staff in an email that it was time to move on, though he would remain with the company during a transition period.
“I’ve met all the personal goals I set out for myself,” he wrote. “As a company, we’ve achieved far more than I would have ever imagined.”
Cheng’s duties included overseeing distribution of Disney programmes online and its wider digital business, which includes a stake in on-demand service Hulu.
Re/code reported Cheng would not, however, join Vessel, the YouTube rival former Hulu boss Jason Kilar launched last month.
