Gay Rugby player doc launching at MIPTV

Gareth Thomas: Game Changer will launch internationally at MIPTV. The one-off doc was produced by Welsh indie Zipline for UK pubcaster the BBC, which aired it in February.

The show follows Gareth Thomas, the Welsh international rugby star who came out as gay in 2009.

It charts the professional sportsman’s past and present as the star discusses his life and his sexuality.

UK indie distributor Boulder Creek has picked up rights and will start the sales effort at MIPTV.

Gareth ‘Alfie’ Thomas commented; “It is fantastic news the documentary is going to MIPTV. I look forward to it being sold internationally and hearing from viewers from around the world.”
