Eye Present & CBeebies to co-produce ChuckaBops

Kids prodco Eye Present is coproducing ChuckaBops a new preschool series with UK channel CBeebies.

Eye Present is the prodco formed by Genevieve Dexter and Jules Coke last year.

Its deal with CBeebies is the first copro deal it has struck with a broadcaster and the 52x5mins dialogue-free series will follow a fast response team of small, animated oddball creatures who live in a nursery of real toddlers.

Alison Stewart, head of CBeebies Production, animation & acquisitions says “We are delighted to be partnering with Eye Present on the further development of Chuckabops, with production planned to commence in 2016.”

Eye Present is at Kidscreen this week looking for pre-buyers and copro partners for the new series.

The company last week announced a development deal to work up an animated TV series based on the Minecraft avatars of a pair of YouTube stars, Xephos & Honeydew.
