ABC Oz tunes in to Canada’s Lady Vocab

Australian pubcaster the ABC has acquired Canada-produced kids series Lady Vocab.

The live-action educational show is aimed at 6-to-10s. It teaches kids English language skills and sets out to improve their vocabularies in a fun way, with the help of music and physical activity.

In Canada it goes out on broadcaster TVO’s kids block, TVOKids.

It is sold internationally by Canada-based Picture Box Distribution, which struck the ABC deal and said it paves the way for more TVO shows to head to the Australia pubcaster.

Picture Box reps various TVO kids shows including The Reading Rangers, Big Escape, Math Mystery and the Tumbletown Tales series.
