Zodiak Media-owned prodco Magnolia will produce the show, which will air weekly from March 4.
Magnolia’s chief creative officer Stefano Orsucci said the show would be “a great opportunity for viewers of Sky Italia to not only discover and observe a host of fascinating restaurants through the lens of TV, but also to rediscover the hidden local gems of Italian cuisine”.
France’s TF1, meanwhile, has commissioned a further 40 episodes of its remake, which is titled L’Addition, S’il Vous Plait.
My Restaurant Rocks is based on German daily series Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal, which Good Times Fernsehproduktion produces in association with Red Arrow International for Kabel Eins. That show has run to four seasons and more than 150 territories since launch in August 2013.
