Crave, the low-cost streaming service recently launched by Canadian telco and media company Bell, has bought Amazon cop drama Bosch.
The series was Amazon Prime Instant Video’s first original hour-long drama. It is distributed by Red Arrow and based on the bestselling Michael Connelly book series.
All ten Bosch episodes will launch simultaneously on Crave on Saturday, February 14.
Amazon’s streaming service isn’t (legitimately) available in Canada and Crave has taken local rights. It launched late last year, priced at C$4 a month, considerably undercutting its chief streaming rivals, Netflix and Shomi.
Bell has been aggressively acquiring content for Crave with Mike Cosentino, senior VP, programming, Bell Media, overseeing the content strategy.
