News brief: Asian nets buy Nick toon series

Broadcasters across Asia have acquired Nickelodeon animated programming.

The deals include Philippines free TV channel ABS-CBN taking shows such as Paw Patrol, IPTV service BesTV taking 20 titles and pay TV provider Eastern Broadcasting Asia Co. has gone for eight seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants, Go, Diego, Go!, and Paw Patrol among others.

Earlier this month, Nickelodeon parent and programme distributor Viacom International Media Networks announced it was launching a new channel, Nickelodeon 4Teen, in France.
