Cristela gets full season as Hulu takes Selfie

US broadcast network has taken freshman comedy Cristela to a full season, as the already-cancelled Selfie’s remaining episodes transfer to Hulu.

ABC has given Cristela a back-nine order to the 20^th Century Fox Television-produce show, which stars comedian Cristela Alonzo as a Latin American straddling cultures in the US.

Ratings have been solid, averaging 5.5 million viewers, resulting in ABC’s decision, which comes after it gave Black-ish a full order earlier this fall.

Selfie, which was cancelled on the same day Black-ish was continued, will see its remaining taped episodes go out on OTT service Hulu, which counts ABC has a part-owner.

The first of the six unaired episodes will go out on Hulu, premium service Hulu Plus and ABC.com.
