News brief: Prime Hollywood deal for Universal in Africa

NBCUniversal’s Universal Networks has renewed a deal for Hollywood movie series Hollywood on Set.

The deal, agreed at the recent Discop Africa event, means Universal will take an additional 52 half-hour episodes of the weekly factual series, which goes behind the scenes of blockbuster feature films.

It is distributed by Paris-based Prime Entertainment Group, which has previously sold it to channels including HBO in Asia, the Netherlands and central Europe.
