DramaFever coproducing drama with KBS

On-demand service DramaFever is coproducing a second drama with Korea’s KBS.

Tomorrow’s Cantabile (aka Naeil’s Cantabile), which is based on manga Nodame Cantabile, launches in North and South America exclusively on DramaFever on October 13 subtitled in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The launch will come just 24 hours after its global debut on KBS2.

Episodes will later launch on DramaFever’s syndication partner Hulu.

Tomorrow’s Cantabile is a romantic comedy that follows a meticulous music genius and a messy, out-of-control pianist that form a group of eclectic musicians.

It comes after DramaFever and KBS coproduced Heirs, which the former claims has amassed two billion views across all on-demand platforms worldwide.

“DramaFever is celebrating its fifth anniversary with more fall premieres than ever before, and Tomorrow’s Cantabile is the perfect addition to our line-up. It’s the Odd Couple meets Boys Over Flowers meets Glee – but instrumental! –, and we expect it to be very popular with viewers around the world,” said DramaFever cofounder and co-CEO Suk Park.
