“9 Story Media Group better reflects the new structure of the company and the increasing diversity of the company’s business activities,” said Vince Commisso, president and CEO of 9 Story Media.
“While producing and distributing shows remain absolutely central to our business model, the new name better encapsulates our vision to become a global leader in kids- and family-focused IP.”
ZM Capital and Court both recently invested in the business and are now co-owners alongside 9 Story’s senior management team.
The Canadian company produces shows such as Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood, Wild Kratts, Numb Chucks, Arthur and Peg + Cat (pictured). It employs around 220 creative and production staff, and has produced more than 900 hours of half-hours.
