Nordic World brings Absolutely formats to market

Nordic World will launch several of Absolutely’s formats at MIPCOM next week after buying the Amsterdam-based formats business earlier this year.

Nordic World, the sales alliance created by Scandi broadcasters TV2 Norway and TV4 Sweden, recently shopped the Family Dinner format to Germany’s RTL and its kids show Checkpoint to another German broadcaster, ZDF.

At MIPCOM it will have The Dictator, the format that bowed on Swedish pubcaster SVT and in which eight young people move to an area run by a fictional dictator and are forced to live under their rule.

The original Swedish version was produced by Art89/UR for SVT.

Nordic World also has the Who’s Been Sleeping in my House for the market. The Australia-originated format pieces together the history of a house. The original version was made by JoinedUp for Australian pubcaster ABC.

Out of Norway, Nordic World will bring My Dance Crew to market. The show is being made by Anti TV for TV2 Norway, which will launch it this spring. In the show, celebrities join dance crews and perform routines, while facing a weekly elimination decided by a public votes.
