Kolb exits E! as Berwick takes on NBCU lifestyle nets

Suzanne Kolb is exiting her post as president of cable channel E! Entertainment, with long-serving NBCUniversal exec Frances Berwick handed control of a new look lifestyle division.

NBC Lifestyle Group will comprise Esquire Network, Bravo and Oxygen. Berwick, who already president of Bravo and Oxygen, will oversee the group, and add responsibility for E! and Esquire. She will run the group, which will sit within NBCU Cable Entertainment, as president.

Kolb’s departure from E! has been speculated in the US trade press for some time following two years in the post. Her next move is currently unknown.

Adam Storsky has been named general manager of E!, who will report to Berwick.

Berwick will report to NBCU Cable Entertainment chairman Bonnie Hammer, who said: “In a crowded, constantly evolving media landscape, it’s more important than ever to have a business structure that not only delivers results today, but also sets a course with the right leadership for future success.”
