News brief: Hulu buys Lola & Virginia

Hulu has acquired 52x12mins animated series Lola & Virginia from Spain-based producer and distributor Imira Entertainment.

The deal with Hulu, brokered by US distributor Viva Pictures, follows another US deal for the show, with Amazon for its Prime Instant Video service.

The series, about two twelve year old girls, is a coproduction between Imira Entertainment, Millimages, France 3, Televisió de Catalunya.
