TV Guide poaches Shed Media US exec

Shed Media US development exec Jessie Surovell is joining cable channel TV Guide Network as VP, development.

Surovell is currently executive director of development at Warner Bros.-owned Shed, where she has developed series such as Marriage Ref, Bethenny Getting Married and Hollywood Exes.

She will take up her new post as TVGN executive producer Kristin Giordano is promoted to VP, original programming. Both execs will be based in LA and report into TVGN’s senior VP, original programming and development Paul Adler.

Surovell will be responsible for creating original series, while Giordano will oversee a current slate that includes Big Brother After Dark, Popsugar Now and The Story Behind.

“As TVGN continues to expand its original programming, both Jessie and Kristan will play significant roles in building and managing our growing slate of content,” said Adler. “Their unique perspectives, creative voices and complementary skills make them a perfect duo.”
TVGN is a joint venture of broadcast network CBS and LA studio Lionsgate.
