News brief: NHNZ gives Collins North America role

Kiwi factual producer and distributor NHNZ has promoted Shera Collins to vice president of marketing and development for North America.

Collins, who has also worked for the Animal Planet and Discovery channels, has been at NHNZ since 2006.

Speaking about Collins’ new role, NHNZ managing director Kyle Murdoch said: “With Shera’s background in both production and development, and her excellent relationships with all NHNZ’s key broadcasters like Animal Planet, A&E, National Geographic and Travel Channel, she is already on the ground and running.”

NHNZ is now part of the production and distribution group run by former News Corp. channels chief David Haslingden.
