Sloan and Sagansky’s Global Eagle replaces CEO

Global Eagle Entertainment, the in-flight entertainment firm founded by Hollywood veterans Harry Sloan and Jeff Sagansky, has appointed a new CEO.

Dave Davis has replaced John LaValle, who will continue to consult with the company going forward. Davis was previously CFO and COO, but takes over as chief executive effective immediately.

Sloan, who was CEO of MGM, and former Sony and CBS exec Sagansky launched Global Eagle Acquisition Corp. in 2010 after raising millions in the financial markets. The firm moved into in-flight late in 2012.
