Raft of hires and promotions at US Hispanic net Nuvo

Bill Hilary has been upped to president of SíTV Media amid a raft of changes at the company and its English-language Latino cable net NUVOtv.

Hilary will take the new position having previously executive VP, programming, at NUVO. In the new role he will oversee both Nuvo and Fuse, the cable network recently acquired by SíTV Media. He will report to company CEO Michael Schwimmer.

When the Fuse deal closes Jason Miller will join from the cable net as NUVO’s executive VP, advertising sales.

New recruits include Jesus M. Rodriguez, who becomes senior VP, marketing, at NUVO and joins from Viacom’s BET Networks. Diane Castro is joining NUVO from GSN as VP, corporate communications.

Kathryn Mitchell, who has been consulting for NUVO, joins in a staff role as head of scheduling and programme acquisitions.

Lynette Ramirez has been upped from VP to senior VP, programming at NUVO, having been with the cable net since 2012.

Schwimmer said: “With our acquisition of Fuse set to close in the coming weeks, we will be in great hands under Bill’s leadership, supported by the new group of executives he has brought on board.”

Hilary added: “It is a very exciting time for NUVOtv. We have a great opportunity to continue to grow the network and serve one of the most vibrant, influential and fastest growing demographics in America.”
