Taxidermy doc comes together on Channel 4

The UK’s Channel 4 has commissioned a special documentary on taxidermy – the craft of stuffing dead animals.

Get Stuffed! (WT) comes from director Matt Rudge and looks at the life of taxidermy practitioners, which Channel 4 says has become a growing trend in recent years.

Emma Cooper, commissioning editor at Channel 4 said: “Taxidermy as a pastime is having something of a renaissance around the world at the moment. This revealing one-off documentary will cast an eye on the characters behind the craftwork and the ways in which some people are making a living from the dead.”

Mentorn Media, which was behind recent Channel 4 doc The Fried Chicken Shop, is attached to produce.
