News brief: Dutch Wentworth handed new sentence

SBS6’s Dutch remake of FremantleMedia Australia prison drama Wentworth has been handed a second season.

Celblok-H was confirmed for another run earlier this week ahead of season one’s upcoming finale. It currently ranks as SBS6’s top rated drama of the year.

Celblok-H is a remake of Foxtel’s Australia drama Wentworth (pictured), which itself is a remake of Prisoner (aka Prisoner: Cell Block H), which ran on Network Ten for nearly 700 episodes between 1979 and 1986.
