TalkTalk cuts FilmFlex VOD deal

UK telecom operator TalkTalk has struck a deal with white label video-on-demand aggregator FilmFlex Movies to bring additional on-demand movies to its TV platform, including day-and-date releases.

Under the multi-year contract, TalkTalk will be able to offer new movies from FilmFlex to subscribers to its Essentials TV and Plus TV packages.

TalkTalk will offer a wider range of films to subscribers, including first-run content from the Hollywood majors and independent suppliers including Entertainment One Films and StudioCanal.

Titles to offered as part of the deal include Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and American Hustle.

The deal with FilmFlex allows movies to be viewed on a range of devices including mobile phones and tablets.
