Discovery has secured exclusive access to the parents of South African model Reeva Steenkamp for Pistorius On Trial: Nowhere to Run, a special that will go out on its Investigation Discovery channel this Sunday (April 13).
Steenkamp was killed by her partner, the athlete and Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who is accused of her murder. The trial is ongoing in South Africa.
The ID doc special will centre on an in-depth interview with the parents of Steenkamp as they talk about the loss of their daughter and being inside the courtroom in the city of Pretoria.
Pistorius On Trial: Nowhere to Run will go out on ID in a 9pm slot. NBC News’ Peacock Productions is making the special.
“Americans have become riveted with the tale of what really happened between the beauty and the blade runner,” said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager, Investigation Discovery. “Utilising the resources of our longstanding, and most trusted, production partner, ID is honored to work with NBC News’ Peacock Productions, who has already been reporting extensively on the event across their platforms to produce the most detailed and comprehensive account of this trial to date.”
