MIPTV 2014 news brief: The Feds pursuing Zombie Boot Camp

ZombieBootcamp_imageAustralia-based prodco The Feds has hired veteran producer Julia Peters ahead of heading to Cannes to launch its new zombie series.

Peters, who has worked for Essential Media and Entertainment, Eyeworks, FremantleMedia and the major Australian networks, will be executive producer at The Feds.

The Feds, which recently secured a portion of Screen Australia’s funding under the Enterprise Program, will present its reality show Zombie Boot Camp internationally in Cannes.

The show is one of the five finalists in the MIPFormats International Pitch event.

The winner receives €25,000 (US$34,500) in funding and the judging panel includes Ricochet boss Nick Emmerson, Dutch formats expert Taco Ketelaar and Sandra Kleinfeld, the head of development and unscripted at Canada’s CBC.
