Turkey takes up The Chase

Turkish broadcaster Kanal D has acquired a local version of ITV gameshow The Chase.

The format deal will see a local remake of the show on air in Turkey this spring, and brings the total number of countries airing a local version to seven.

The news comes soon after distributor ITV Studios Global Entertainment sold a third season in the US to GSN.

In the UK, The Chase is produced by Potato and has run for seven seasons. In Germany ITV Studios Germany produces it for NDR, and in Russia it goes put on TV Channel Russia. More recently Serbia’s RTS and Croatia’s HRT got local versions.
