MIPTV 2014: Discovery Lat Am dives in with Tom Daley

Tom Daley Goes GlobalDiscovery Networks in Latin America has acquired travel doc series Tom Daley Goes Global and James Nesbitt’s Ireland from Twofour Rights.

Tom Daley Goes Global is a 6x60mins coproduction between UK producer Twofour and GroupM Entertainment. It follows British Olympic diver Daley as he embarks on a worldwide backpacking tour.

James Nesbitt’s Ireland is an 8x30mins series from Twofour for UK broadcaster ITV in which the eponymous actor explores his home country’s culture, history and people. It launched with an 18.4% share (4.5 million viewers).

Twofour will be selling both shows in Cannes, along with Harry’s South Pole Heroes, Marines, Killing Spree, Cooks’ Questions, and The Jump, as well as Boomerang-produced show Posh Pawn.
