MIPTV 2014: Four-day focus on 4K in Cannes

A host of broadcasters, technology companies and producers are joining forces for a 4K showcase that will run for the duration of MIPTV.

The MIPTV 4K Ultra HD Programme will showcase the next-generation programming standard, focussing on various genres of content.

Ahead of the upcoming football World Cup in Brazil, FIFA’s director of TV, Niclas Ericson, will deliver a keynote speech.

Broadcasters including NHK, the BBC, Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia will contribute to subsequent presentations and sessions, alongside producers including Terra Mater Factual Studios and Saint Thomas Productions.
