SVT lines up political thriller

Swedish pubcaster SVT is lining up a political thriller from Strix Drama.

Ögon Blå is a 10x60mins conspiracy thriller following a former government chief of staff who is thrust into a web of deceit after being reinstated.

Louise Peterhoff stars, with Adam Lundgren, who starred in Don’t Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves, which sold to the BBC and YLE, also featuring.

Nice Entertainment Group (fka MTG Studios)-owned Scandi producer Strix Drama is producing the show, which will launch in the autumn of this year.

The news comes as Scandi dramas remain in vogue internationally following the success of series including The Killing.
