News brief: Broadcasters buy ZDF’s Carthage special

Wales’ S4C, SBS in Australia and New Jersey public station WNET have all prebought Carthage’s Lost Warriors, a documentary special about South American settlers.

The 1x60mins doc is produced by German pubcaster ZDF, its commercial arm ZDF Enterprises and arts and culture channel Arte.

It examines the hypothesis that under attack from the Romans, some seafaring citizens of the ancient city of Carthage escaped across the Atlantic and landed in South America.

ZDF Enterprises is distributing and sealed the S4C, SBS and WNET presales.
