Keshet boss signs up for MIPTV keynote

Avi Nir has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at MIPTV in April. Nir, the CEO of Israeli broadcaster and content business Keshet Media will speak on the opening Monday of this year’s market.

Keshet had the buzziest format of the last market with interactive talent show Rising Star and at MIP Nir will talk about innovation in the content business.

He will cite examples from Keshet’s scripted and non-scripted shows on air and in development internationally, and look at content lifecycles in the digital age.

Separately, Reed Midem said yesterday that YouTube, Vice Media, Maker Studio and Dailymotion will all showcase their new series and channels in the main auditorium in the Palais as part of the inaugural MIP Digital Fronts.

There will also be a screening of Farmed & Dangerous, the buzzy series made by and for the fast food chain and digital prodco Piro.
