News brief: 9 Story Gets Ace series

9 Story Enterprises has picked up international rights to Get Ace, the new 52x11mins animated series from Australian producer Galaxy Pop.

The kids series recently bowed on Network Ten’s Eleven channel and 9 Story has taken global rights excluding Australia and New Zealand.

The series follows the adventures of Ace McDougal, who embarks on various adventures after being accidentally fitted with some ultra high-tech, experimental braces.

Galaxy Pop, executive producer, Gian Christian said: “We’ve taken classic cartoony animation and given it a fresh twist, with bumbling villains, big extreme characters and whacky storylines all mixed together with cool college band music.”
