Sundance drama Red Road gets global debut deal
Gritty drama The Red Road will launch on international Sundance Channels on April 24 following a deal with Entertainment One.
The deal sees AMC/Sundance Channel Global acquiring the original AMC Networks show, which follows a small town sheriff who simultaneously battles to keep his family and two clashing local communities together, on a first window rights basis.
eOne sells the show globally through its first-look scripted content deal with AMC Networks scored last year. Its agreement with AMC/Sundance Channel Global covers Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, and key European territories including France, Iberia, Benelux, Poland and CEE.
In the US, the Aaron Guzikowski-penned show is primed for cable channel SundanceTV.
