News brief: NBCU’s Chocolate Media making ITV ‘tactical quiz’

NBCUniversal-owned producer Chocolate Media has won a commission from ITV for quiz show The 21st Question.

The series is billed as a ‘tactical quiz’ and will be hosted by UK presenter Gethin Jones. The format involves contestants being asked 21 questions with a ‘power player’ taking on challengers in winner stays on rounds.

The 10x60mins series will air in the UK commercial broadcaster’s daytime schedule. It was commissioned by ITV’s director of daytime, Helen Warner, and will debut later this year.
