News brief: Telefe brings Rising Star to Argentina

Argentinian broadcaster Telefe has okayed a local version of Keshet International-sold format Rising Star.

A 24x90mins run of the interactive singing talent show will launch in the fall of this year. Telefe already runs a version of Talpa format The Voice.

Yesterday, Acun Medya was confirmed as buying Rising Star for Turkey, though no broadcaster is attached at this stage. Israel-originated Star, from Tedy Productions, has sold to a further 19 territories since launching at MIPCOM in October.
