A+E hires two for LMN and FYI

tom_moody_1A+E Networks has hired programming executives for its FYI and LMN channels.

FYI launches this summer and Thomas Moody (pictured) has been appointed senior VP, programming, planning & acquisitions at FYI, the lifestyle channel A+E is launching later this year. He will also have responsibility for the Lifetime spin-off channel LMN.

Moody has been at A+E Networks since 2001 and in his new role will oversee program planning, strategy and acquisitions for both FYI and LMN. He was previously responsible for developing and implementing the scheduling and acquisition strategies for the A&E and BIO channels.

A+E has also upped Laura Fleury to vice president, programming & development at LMN.

In the role she will oversee all original programming for the network. She has been with A+E Networks for over 15 years, and in her previous role at A&E, Fleury developed and served as executive producer for series including Beyond Scared Straight and The First 48.

Both execs will report to Jana Bennett who joined A+E Networks last year to run LMN and Bio, which was subsequently rebranded as FYI to reach a younger audience of lifestyle fans. She said: “Both Tom and Laura bring a track record of significant accomplishment to the table.”
