TVFI awards Zodiak, PGS and France Télévisions

Rebound-Les-Revenants_featuredFrench TV exporters group TVFI has bestowed its annual awards for most successful TV export to Zodiak Rights, PGS Entertainment and France Télévisions Distribution.

The annual Export Award recognises the best French-originated programme successes in the international market across three genres: kids, docs and drama.

The awards, now in their tenth year, were presented to the winners earlier this week as part of the French Television Producer Awards.

PGS won its gong for best animated series with The Jungle Bunch – Back to the Ice Floe. It beat competition from Cyber Group with Zou and Mediatoon with Contraptus.

Zodiak won the drama category for season one of The Returned (pictured), beating France Télévisions Distribution with The Agatha Christie Collection and Newen Distribution with The Blood of the Vine.

France Télévisions Distribution came out top in the factual category with its World War II project Apocalypse. It beat Compagnie des Phares et Balises with The Tour: The Legend of the Race and Zed with Barack Obama – Great Expectations.
