News brief: Gogglebox opens in Ukraine

Ukrainian national broadcaster ICTV has acquired a local version of Studio Lambert format Gogglebox.

ICTV’s in-house team will create a 12x60mins version of the factual entertainment show, in which fixed rig cameras capture the TV-watching public’s responses to the week’s television programming.

The news comes after Chinese broadcaster Jiangsu Satellite TV also ordered a local version. The original runs on UK broadcaster Channel 4.
