Lifetime poaches TLC exec for unscripted role

Lifetime has poached Marianna Flynn from rival female-skewing net TLC.

At A+E-owned cable channel Lifetime, Flynn will be VP, non-fiction programming. Based in LA she will report to Eli Lehrer, senior VP of non-fiction.

He said: “Her keen eye for talent and strong relationships within the creative community perfectly mesh with our strategy to keep building Lifetime’s non-fiction slate with larger-than-life characters and daring concepts.”

At TLC she was VP, development, heading of development for the network’s West Coast operations and working on shows including Gypsy Sisters and All-American Muslim.

Prior to TLC, Flynn was director of alternative and specials for NBC Entertainment. There, she developed and managed production of primetime programmes for USA Network and Syfy, including Nashville Star and Who Wants to be a Superhero?.
