ITV Studios appoints daytime boss

UK commercial broadcaster ITVhas appointed Emma Gormley managing executive producer, ITV Studios Daytime.

In the newly created role at ITV Studios, the content division of the broadcaster, Gormley will report to Denise O’Donoghue, managing director, ITV Studios UK.

Previously editor of morning magazine show Lorraine, Gormley has taken on the new role on an interim basis in recent weeks and now steps into it full time.

“Daytime is highly competitive and vitally important for both ITV Studios and our network,” said O’Donoghue. “The success of this slate of programmes is important to us and Emma has both the experience and imagination to successfully lead the Daytime team.”

Gormley began working for ITV daytime in 2003, initially as deputy head of features, GMTV. Before joining ITV, she worked for BBC Daytime.
