News brief: Africa’s M-Net cuts Sony Pictures deal

Sub-Saharan African pay TV platform M-net has agreed a programming deal with Sony Pictures Television.

The package deal gives the African platform new and returning Sony series and titles include The Blacklist, Masters of Sex (pictured), Breaking Bad and Bad Teacher.

M-Net director of group content eervices Jan du Plessis said: “The current SPT series on M-Net’s channels are well loved by our viewers and we are thrilled to add more exciting new SPT shows to our mix of top-notch content.”
