Starz developing Owen Wilson drama WonderWorld

Starz is developing WonderWorld, a one-hour drama, with movie star Owen Wilson’s production company

The premium US cable net has been ramping up drama production with a view to hitting 75 hours a year of original scripted programming.

The new drama will follow two FBI agents as they infiltrate the mob-controlled porn industry in 1980s America.

Owen Wilson will exec produce and Law & Order: Criminal Intent showrunner Rene Balcer will be executive producer, writer and showrunner on the one-hour series.

Another Law & Order exec, Fred Berner, will also be an exec producer.
