ABC Studios options RAI’s Imperfect Mom

ABC Studios in the US has optioned remake rights to Italian cross platform series An Imperfect Mom.

The project comes from writer/director Ivan Cotroneo (Loose Cannons, I am Love) and is produced by Indigo Film, 21, Rai Fiction and Corriere della sera. Rai’s commercial arm Rai Trade shopped the option rights to ABC Studios here in Cannes.

The show employs a diary format to focus on the life of a modern working mother coping with the demands of her home and her children.

Rai Trade bills it as “a comedy on the women of today”.
