Blacklist breaks records, gets full season

BlacklistBuzzy US drama The Blacklist has been picked up for a full season on NBC after strong ratings across the globe.

In the US, the James Spader-starring show kept 97% of its audience and DVR audience in week two after stellar ratings on launch, promoting the Peacock network to greenlight a full season order. It drew good numbers on launch.

Furthermore, distributor Sony Pictures Television claims it has broken DVR records by adding five million extra viewers in week two.

This comes on the back of excellent ratings elsewhere. In Canada, the show held 94% of its audience on Global, the highest number of any new series this season, while it scored Sky Living’s highest ever series launch ratings on the UK network. It has also debuted well in Australia and South Korea and launches across southeast Asia next week.

Blacklist, which SPT has sold into 150 territories, comes from Davis Entertainment Company in association with SPT.
