Red Arrow launching Dustin Hoffman show in Cannes

Red Arrow will launch the much-anticipated one-off drama Esio Trot at MIPCOM. The TV movie is an adaptation of the eponymous Roald Dahl novel and is being made by Richard Curtis (Love Actually).

In the UK the film, which stars Dustin Hoffman and Dame Judy Dench, will be on BBC One.

It is being made by UK producer Endor, which is part of the Red Arrow group. Its sales arm, Red Arrow International has international sales rights and will start shopping it to buyers at MIPCOM.

It also has another BBC drama from Endor, The Escape Artist (pictured). The series stars David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) as a brilliant defence lawyer who gets too deeply involved with a tricky case

Red Arrow’s other drama highlights include the second season of Lilyhammer, the mobster drama starring Steve Van Zandt, which was Netflix first original series. The second season introduces new talent including Alan Ford (Snatch) and Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones).

The drama slate is rounded off by Johan Falk, the hit Swedish crime drama. Produced by Strix, part of the MTG Studios group, follows the titular detective in the classic Nordic noir series.
