The ABC has acquired a 30-hour package of programming from Zodiak Kids. The Australian pubcaster has picked up live-action show Mister Maker (pictured) and preschool hit series Waybuloo as part of the deal.
Both shows are on CBeebies in the UK and the UK digital channel recently extended arts and crafts show Mister Maker with Mister Maker Around the World. The ABC will get the new show and the original, both of which are made by Zodiak-owned prodco The Foundation.
Mister Maker DVD’s have been performing strongly in the Australian market where they are distributed by ABC DVD, which has accrued over 130,000 unit sales since the first title launched in 2010.
The ABC has also picked up the third 50x19mins episode of Waybuloo.
Zodiak has also sold the first three series of Mister Maker to Kiwi public broadcaster TVNZ, which will air the show on its preschool channel Kidzone24.
