Restructured ZDF covers all genres in Cannes

Having restructured into four genre-specific divisions, ZDF Enterprises will launch new kids, drama, factual and entertainment shows at MIPCOM.

The commercial arm of the German public broadcaster has also launched a new sales site to help buyers get details of its new shows.

On the kids side the market highlight from ZDFE.junior is 26x26mins live action series Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures and preschool animated series 52x11mins Q Pootle 5.

The ZDFE.drama unit will have the second season of Nordic Noir hit series Bron, which has been remade in the US as The Bridge and Europe as The Tunnel.

From ZDFE.factual there is three-part doc Countdown to Catastrophe (pictured). The ZDF and Gruppe 5 copro looks at the interconnections between tornados, earthquakes, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions.

The headline format, from ZDFE.entertainment, is Your Song. The show is a competition series for young songwriters with the winner receiving the accolade: Songwriter of the Year.
