News brief: DQ sells The Jungle Book to Univision

DQ Entertainment has shopped its Jungle Book animated series to US Hispanic net Univision.

The US broadcaster will show the toon series, in Spanish, in its PlanetaU kids programming block.

It will go out at 9am, between The Backyardigans and Maya and Miguel.

The English-language version of the show has already been licensed to Amazon’s Instant streaming service in the US and DVD rental service Redbox.
