News brief: NRK buys ITV Studios fare

Norwegian pubcaster NRK has acquired a 317-hour package of programming from ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The package includes shows such as Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Mrs. Marple, Vera, Inside Claridges and Baby Makers: The Fertility Clinic.

David Wilcox, VP, northwest EMEA, ITVSGE, said: “The number of hours acquired by NRK is testament to the quality and breadth of ITVSGE’s portfolio. Our crime drama franchises in particular are hugely popular across Scandinavia, outperforming US network drama.”
