International media coming to Cambridge

Liberty Global CEO Mike Fries, ABC boss Paul Lee and Microsoft Studios chief Nancy Tellem will be in the UK next month for the Royal Television Society’s annual convention.

The media get-together is chaired by Channel 4 boss David Abraham and other speakers include UK culture secretary Maria Miller, BBC Worldwide CEO Tim Davie, YouTube EMEA boss Ben McOwen Wilson and Channel 5 owner Richard Desmond.

In another session, Channel 4 chief creative officer Jay Hunt will interview her equivalent at Netflix Ted Sarandos.

The conference, which this year has the tagline “Whose Side Are You On? Quality Content: Who Pays? Who Decides? Who Profits?” takes place 11-13 September.
