News brief: More Devious Maids for Lifetime

A+E Networks-owned Lifetime has ordered a second season of the Judy Reyes-starring melodrama Devious Maids.

The 13-episode order will lead Lifetime’s 2014 scripted slate, according to Lifetime’s executive VP and general manager Rob Sharenow. It will be produced by ABC Studios.

The first season launched on June 23. It follows four close-knit maids who first bond after another is murdered at the home of her employee.
